Tuition Reimbursement Incentive Program
(T.R.I.P.)

About this Program:
Our Lady of Peace School purchases gift certificates from area merchants on your behalf. Because the school buys in bulk; we are able to get the certificates/gift cards at a discount. You purchase the certificates/gift cards at a dollar for dollar value which are as easy to use as cash at the stores and in some instances, can be used to pay existing charge bills. The discount received for purchasing the certificates/gift cards in bulk is split between Our Lady of Peace School and you, the school families.

You receive 50% percent of the discount for each purchase you make, in the form of a check, which can be used toward your tuition expense or your other needs.

Example:
Fannie May Candies offers T.R.I.P. a 24% discount on all debit cards we purchase. A Fannie May debit card value is $20.

OLP T.R.I.P. purchases a Fannie May card for $15.20 ($20 x 24%) and sells it to you for the face value of $20.

The $4.80 discount is equally divided so OLP School gets $2.40 and you would get a $2.40 rebate.

T.R.I.P. benefits you in two ways:
1) By making your normal purchases such as groceries, clothing,
toys, gifts, gasoline, restaurants, vacations, and other entertainment, you can earn money back!
2) The 50% of the discount that goes to OLP helps the school for special purchases which in turn benefits the OLP students.

How to Participate in T.R.I.P.
First, you must enroll in the program. A TRIP Registration Form must be completed every year. By filling out this form, you are under no obligation to use this program but the form will be kept on file if needed. Families not enrolled in T.R.I.P. will not receive any credits for their purchases.

Second, you purchase certificates/gift cards. Certificates & gift cards can be purchased through online sales on a weekly basis during the school year as well as most Fridays (2:45-3:00) in the school lobby at the Open Sales session.

Online Sales:
This is a new way of ordering, so we will all learn together! Please download the Online Ordering Guide to walk you thru the easy process.

Then, go online and see all the new merchants and even higher rebates! Generally, orders must be placed prior to Sunday at 11:00PM and will make every attempt to return filled orders by the following Wednesday. Due to an occasional unforeseen problem, the orders may be available on Thursday instead. There will be no need for order sheets to come home! . TRIP program is fortunate to have many donated envelopes so we will use what we have and not reuse weekly envelopes like we did last year.

Payments cannot be made online so all payments (CHECKS ONLY) must be turned in the school office by Monday @ 3:05pm. All online orders must paid by check, made out to “OLP TRIP” and include a print off of your order form. If payment is not received, then the order will not be placed. SORRY, NO EXCEPTIONS! It is always highly recommended that you order as much through the online process as you will have a greater assurance of receiving your desired order.

T.R.I.P. Online Ordering Guide

Open Sales:
Open Sales is located in OLP School lobby on Fridays from 2:45-3PM. T.R.I.P. certificates/gift cards are sold on a first come, first served basis. A limited supply of most commonly used certificate/gift cards such as grocery, gas, local merchant certificates, are available to handle most needs. Any school family, relatives, friends, neighbors can purchase certificates and receive their own credit or can purchase toward a particular family's behalf. Payment is accepted by exact cash or check. NO CHANGE WILL BE GIVEN. If school is not in session on Friday, Open Sales will usually be on Thursday.

A rebate summary will be sent to participating families for review 3 times/year. Once a rebate summary is sent, you have seven (7) days to contact the T.R.I.P. coordinator regarding any discrepancies. A rebate credit check will be issued 3 times per calendar year; January, May, September. The rebate credit checks will be sent home in the OLP school brown envelope, by oldest student, or may be picked up in school office. For purchases made between September and December, you will receive a rebate credit check in January. For purchases made between January and April, you will receive a rebate credit check in May.
