Our Mission…
Called by the Holy Spirit, Our Lady of Peace Religious Education program is dedicated to guiding the faith formation of our parish family because we understand that our Catholic beliefs and faith experiences are a lifelong journey. Our ongoing effort is to teach, challenge and encourage all to emulate the life of Jesus by loving God and others through service, prayer and worship.

The Essentials…
Religious Education classes begin mid-September and go through the end of April. We offer 4 different sessions each week:
Tuesday - 4:30pm-5:45pm
Tuesday - 6:00pm-7:15pm
Thursday - 5:30pm-6:45pm
Saturday - 9:00am-10:15am
Each session lasts 75 minutes to ensure that your children are receiving the best catechesis we can offer. Material is age appropriate and covered extensively. With parents’ cooperation, Catholic knowledge is reinforced at home and lived out on a daily basis.
Classes are offered from Kindergarten thru 8th grade.
Sacraments…
Reconciliation and First Communion are traditionally received in the 2nd grade; however, we offer a “Special Sacraments” class for older children who need to receive these sacraments. Two years of preparation is required for Reconciliation and First Communion.
Confirmation is received in the 8th grade. Two years of preparation is required for the reception of Confirmation.
Continuity…
As a parish we strongly urge the children to receive 8 years of Religious Education. Each year’s material builds on the previous year to provide a solid and thorough Catholic foundation.
