“WE
ARE THE CHURCH”
Diocese of Joliet Presents
Youth Leadership Conference (YLC) 2008 at Lewis University
June 27 – 29
YLC is an exciting three day event
for youth that are leaders in their parish. There
will be great speakers, music, food and prayer. This
event will challenge you to grow in your leadership
skills and your faith. A great time to see old friends
and make some new ones. Bishop Sartain will be joining
us for a keynote address on Friday and then celebrate
Liturgy with us on Sunday. Doug Brummel will be the
emcee for the weekend as well as give a keynote address
on Sunday. Over 700 teenagers and adults are expected
to attend!
This
is for incoming freshman through high school teens.
YLC 2008 is an inspiring event for teens to come back
home and share their excitement and talents with their
peers, their family and their parish community.
The
cost to attend is $175.00 per person, which includes
dorm style lodging, leadership workshops, all meals,
great keynote speakers, teen witness speakers, Mass
with Bishop Sartain, Reconciliation, grade-level breakout
sessions, a social, great music, and a conference
t-shirt. The workshops will be designed to build up
the leadership skills of each teen in areas like peer
ministry, liturgy, evangelization, catholic social
teaching, presenting dramas, giving witness talks,
and much more.
