Little Peaces

Our Lady of Peace parish families with young children (5 and under) meet monthly to build community, connect through Christian parenting, and share experiences. Our focus is on developing relationships with other parents looking for support as we strive to raise our Catholic children. So if your days are busy, but you would like to find the time to make new friends – please join us for a little peace! All are welcome.

November 18th – Join other moms for a mom’s night out before the hustle and bustle of the holidays. All are welcome, bring a friend. Friday, Nov. 18th, 7:00 pm at Jameson’s Charhouse, 1001 75th St., Woodridge

December 16th – Celebrate with other youngsters and parents at the annual Little Peaces Happy Birthday Baby Jesus Party. Please bring a canned good to donate to the OLP food pantry. All are welcome, bring a friend. Friday, Dec. 16th, 1:00 pm in the school.

January 19th – Tired of being cooped up all Winter? Break out of the indoors for a kid friendly lunch at 11:30 at the All Aboard Diner 1510B 75th Street, Downers Grove.

February 15th – Learn how to have a little less ‘whine’ with your cheese. Speaker Larry Wieczorek will discuss Tom Phelan’s 1-2-3 Magic system for effective discipline for children ages 2 – 12 on Wed, Feb. 15th at 7:00 pm. Wine and cheese will be served. You won’t want to miss this!

March 6th & April 25th – Meet at Westmont Yard for some indoor play time at 9:30.

May 11th – Play carnival games, jump in the bouncy house, and feast on sloppy joe sandwiches at the annual OLP Sloppy Joe Day, May 11th 11:00 am – 1:30 pm.

June – 14th -18th – drop off gently used items to donate to the annual OLP garage sale. Don’t forget to shop on June 23rd for great deals!

July – make a splash with friends at the Darien Swim and Racquet Club. Date TBA

August – Little Peaces will host a meet and greet at the Darien Community Park. Date TBA
